May–November Surrey Youth Showcase Events Series Various Locations surrey.ca/sys youth@surrey.ca Come check out the Surrey Youth Showcase–the City of Surrey’s largest annual youth event series. Each event is free to attend and free to participate in. Tons of prizes will be given away at each event! Event series will kick off a with the Basketball Tournament. Enjoy a quiet and meditative walk through the tall trees of Sunnyside Acres Urban Forest and see how a forest can inspire awe and help you relax. Drop in, rain or shine, but not in high winds. Hosted by Sunnyside Acres Heritage Society.

June 3 Wednesday 6pm–8pm Sounds Of Spring Blackie Spit, Crescent Beach 3136 McBride Avenue All ages Pack a zero-waste picnic and bring your chair or blanket for an outdoor concert at the beach. June 5 Friday 6pm–8:30pm Family Movie Night: Kensington Prairie Community Centre 604-592-2605 Join us at the Kensington Prairie Community Centre for our free movie night in the gym. Bring a camp chair or blanket to sit on. We will provide the movie, popcorn and drinks. Sunnyside Acres Urban Forest Park Open House 24 Ave between 144 St and 148 St (Wally Ross parking lot) Enjoy the view of the forest from a bucket truck ride. Interact with grassroots volunteers who protect urban forests in Surrey. Explore the forest with our forest fairy at 2pm, then enjoy nature crafts, cookie decorating, face painting, and more. All hail her Majesty, the Queen! The whole family will enjoy this regal event with dancing, birthday cake and a chance to meet the woman who had a whole era named after her - Queen Victoria.

Celebrate the International Day of Biodiversity by recording as many nature sightings as possible in Surrey’s largest park. No nature knowledge necessary. May 30 Saturday 11am–4pm Market at the Museum – Environmental Extravaganza Museum of Surrey Want to fight climate change but don’t know where to start? Drop by this unique eco-friendly market and learn about sustainable lifestyles at this fun for all ages event.

Summer fun begins with Park Play Palooza! Enjoy outdoor games, sports, music, and other activities. Meet Park Play staff and pick up a Park Play passport with the summer drop in schedule. June 21 Sunday 11am–3pm Father's Day Open House Historic Stewart Farm All ages Show dad some fun this Father's Day watching the Greater Vancouver Garden Railway Club's display of large scale trains whiz by. Make a craft, grab coffee on the verandah then settle in for a family picnic on the scenic farm grounds. Make your way to Holland Park and join us in celebrating National Indigenous Peoples Day on June 21. Hosted by Surrey's local land-based communities, Semiahmoo First Nation, Kwantlen First Nation, and Katzie First Nation, this event features cultural performances and programming, showcasing the rich cultural history and traditions of our Indigenous people. July 1 Wednesday Surrey Rides: All-Wheels Canada Day Event Cloverdale Youth Park surrey.ca/youth youth@surrey.ca Grab your helmet and your skateboard, scooter, or bike and head to the annual Surrey Rides Canada Day event. Tons of prizes, a demo from the Rad Skate Team, and try-it skateboard activities for youth and families of all skill levels and abilities. June 21 Sunday National Indigenous Peoples Day Holland Park
