Coffee Break at the Farm Fridays, April 1, May 6 & June 3 9:30am–11am Historic Stewart Farm Adults Bring friends (or meet new ones) and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee while you play card or board games, do a puzzle or learn about our local history. A great way to relax before or after a walk through the nature trails of Elgin Heritage Park. All ages Celebrate all things Spring! Meet the friendly Easter bunny, play games, and make fun crafts. Métis – Children of the Fur Trade Saturday, April 23 12pm–4pm Museum of Surrey All ages Come explore the unique and enriching Métis heritage by learning about current and historical traditions with performances, speakers, and artisans. Surrey Regional Heritage Fair Saturday, April 30 11am–2pm Museum of Surrey All ages Join Surrey students as they celebrate Canadian History at Surrey Regional Heritage Fair. View student project displays, participate in Museum drop-in activities, and attend the closing ceremony where students are acknowledged for their research and presentations. Sensory Fun at the Museum Saturday, June 25 1pm–4pm Museum of Surrey All ages Join Museum of Surrey staff and the City of Surrey’s AccessibilityTeam for a fun event designed to support participants with autism. Sensory Kits will be available free of charge, as well as a Sensory Friendly Room. Kids can make crafts, get their face painted, enjoy the sensory play station, and much more! Museum of Surrey All ages Visit your museum in a sensory friendly environment. Tour the museum with reduced lighting and sound. Borrow complimentary noise-cancelling headphones (available from the front desk at any time, not just during the sensory-friendly hours) Access the sensory-friendly space on the museum’s second floor. Take part in quiet activities such as reading and drawing and play with stress balls and other sensory friendly toys.
