The Glades Woodland Garden will be ablaze in spring colour with over 3,500 mature rhododendrons – some taller than a house! May 14 Sunday 10am–4pm Mother’s Day at Darts Hill Garden Park 1633 170 Street Entry by donation surrey.ca/dartshill Explore a wondrous collection of rare mature trees, shrubs and perennials. The garden is a spectacular backdrop for a special day. Historic Stewart Farm is turning 35! Help us celebrate while you enjoy live music and performances, sample some delicious homemade goodies, and make a special spring craft to take home. June BC Seniors Week surrey.ca/seniors An annual celebration held the first week of June to recognize the many contributions of older adults and elders in our communities. This event provides an opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the integral part seniors and elders play in communities across British Columbia. June 21 Wednesday National Indigenous Peoples Day Cloverdale Fairgrounds Make your way to Cloverdale Fairgrounds and join the community in celebrating National Indigenous Peoples Day on June 21. Hosted by Surrey's local land-based Nations; Semiahma (Semiahmoo), q̓ ʷɑ:n̓ƛ̓ən̓ (Kwantlen), and q̓ic̓ əy̓ (Katzie) First Nations. This Indigenous-led event provides the community the opportunity to acknowledge First Nations, Metis, and Inuit peoples past, present and future; to share cultural history; and to share spirit, experiences, stories, song, art and dance with each other and the community.
