Activity Backpacks
Dress for adventure and experience the beauty of spring along the trails of GreenTimbers Park. Drop in to the centre to find out about the programs and events we offer and to pick up a trail guide.
Join our guide and explore the Surrey Nature Centre and GreenTimbers Park and the animals and plants that call it home. Walk routes and themes may change from month to month, so come back often. Call to register. Saturday 10am–10:45am
Multiple ages from 2 years to adult With new activities and age-specific themes to choose from, these backpacks are bursting with nature activities to enjoy. Sign out your backpack before venturing outside to explore the Surrey Nature Centre.
Pick up an Activity Backpack, scavenger hunt, or fishing rod from Reception to take with you outside, or stay inside and check out our nature exhibition space. Don't forget to bring your binoculars to look for birds!

Community Gardens on Surrey Park Land Surrey is home to nine community gardens located in neighbourhood parks. Gardening is a valuable recreation activity that not only assists with food production, but contributes to overall health and well-being, and builds connection to nature and neighbourhoods. Go online to find out how you can join a community garden, or start one in your area. surrey.ca/communitygardens Tree Sale Surrey Parks hosts tree sales to offer quality trees at an affordable price to Surrey residents. Buy trees for $20 each to help grow Surrey’s urban forest. Pre-purchase online and choose a pickup time on select dates. surrey.ca/treesale

Mother’s Day at The Glades Woodland Garden May 7 & 8

DOG OFF-LEASH AREAS Leashing your dog is one of the easiest things you can do to help take care of our parks and keep them welcoming spaces for other visitors and wildlife. Surrey has many off-leash areas for you and your pooch to enjoy! All off-leash areas are fully fenced except for Freedom, Tannery and Dogwood Park.
