SURREY ART GALLERY’S URBANSCREEN IS NOW AT SURREY CIVIC PLAZA! Annie Briard: Refracted Landscapes | May 8 to July 27 This new video project explores how we see the landscapes of British Columbia. In Refracted Fields , Briard uses tools like prisms, coloured gels, and layering to change how we view the world. By showing both beautiful and everyday views, the artist helps us think about how our ideas of places are affected by the world changing around us. This project is part of her ongoing work that looks at how we experience light, time, and the way we see things. Briard teaches Photography and Media Arts at Emily Carr University of Art + Design. The show is organized by Jordan Strom, Gallery Curator of Exhibitions and Collections. For more information, visit: surrey.ca/urbanscreen
