This captivating artwork, completed in 2023, pays homage to the Se’mya’me people’s profound connection with Crescent Beach. Celebrating the resilience of coastal birds, it highlights their intrinsic link to the tidal rhythm. Roxanne Charles, a Semiahmoo band member and cultural historian, infuses her mixed media art with traditional Semiahma knowledge, enriching Surrey’s cultural landscape.
