Current Exhibitions

INDIGENOUS HALL Witness Blanket May 14 to July 21

Waniskahtan August 6 to September 29 This exhibition is designed to honour the lives and legacies of missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls (MMIWG), and lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and 2-Spirit (LGBTQ2S), in order to commemorate them and to prevent future occurrences. Developed by the Legacy of Hope Foundation with the support of Women and Gender Equality Canada.

FEATURE GALLERY Teens: Creative Minds April 23 to August 4 This bilingual exhibit features inventors across time, technologies and recent innovations that highlight the stunning creative capacity of teenagers. This exhibit has a message on the importance of determination, belief in one’s ideas, and how creativity can lead to significant contributions and advancements to society. Produced by the J. Armand Bombardier Museum of Ingenuity with the collaboration of the Université de Sherbrooke. This project has been made possible in part by the Government of Canada and the J. Armand Bombardier Foundation.

This exhibit is a reproduction of a powerful art installation by master carver Carey Newman and is circulated by the Canadian Museum for Human Rights. Inspired by a woven blanket, this cedar-framed artwork is made of hundreds of items from residential schools, Survivors, churches, governments, and other cultural sites across Canada. Each item tells a story of loss, strength, resilience, and pride.
