Thorough background checks for applicants to ensure only the right ones are getting in. More officers than what we have right now and boost the amount of officers up to approximately 1200. Hiring the

right people with the right experience. to always be ready for what ever happens

To be focused on building community connections, being a conduit for support services , rather than punishing marginalized people. Ensure the positive shifts being made with rcmp working with health services, e.g. in regards to homelessness, continue To consider looking at teens mostly because of all the destruction that's happening is being caused by early 20'/s

To ensure that the new PD does not tax citizens to raise money by issuing needless traffic tickets, and ensure that the focus is on solving/preventing crimes and making the community safe. To ensure that the police service is established. To finish gangs, make Surrey drug free and safe for kids those are future of this world. Stop gun shootings. No more killing of youngsters To focus on community policing vs traditional or zero-tolerance policing and focus on community outreach, and preventative measures. Our community like many others is struggling w/ the opioid crisis and traditional policing will not tackle this issue To have a comprehensive police staff to survival communities . Police department that cares about mental illness. More drug control is expected from police . To incr as the amount of policemen on the streets. To keep everyone safe and to be efficient To keep the RCMP and pay the moolah to grow the number of officers we have. I do not want a Surrey Police force.
