Public consultation to date has been farcical. The Mayor's performance has been pathetic. Why was the RCMP's request for additional staffing turned down? I did not vote for a municipal police force this is Socialism at work where the democratic process is abused a referendum should be held post haste!! Why. Surrey RCMP chronically underfunded and is the reason for issues. Don't see an improvement happening with municipal force Will a change to a City Police force provide significantly greater benefits over the current system relative to the very substantial costs to do so. RCMP are providing a good service to the City, can a 30%+ annual cost increase be worth it???? With future surveys please add a "NEUTRAL" option. Sometimes neither agree or disagree are correct responses. Provide more immediate transparency in the process. Lack of immediate transparency merely causes unnecessary angst in the community. Work with the existing policing framework. Stop always broadcasting what a crime-ridden hole you think Surrey is. You are just advertising for more of the same behaviour you say you don't want. Surrey needs a NEW, positive mantra. Working as a metro police force so information sharing is not lost or delayed. Working equally on crime prevention and on enforcing law. Working towards building a safer community, be it day or night. Yes Yes I want city police

Yes it needs to serve the needs of the city as the top and only priority and not take into account decisions that are made in Ottawa that usually have nothing to do with Surrey.

Yes we should have a city police. To take over majority of the responsibilities except for major crimes, gang and trafficking crimes. The RCMP have great federal resources to aid in those areas.

yes, the RCMP do not engage in community policing. there is such a turn over in staffing that they are not part of our community. The slow to respond to changing community. The purposely suppress crime stats. The RCMP serve the RCMP first not Surrey
