Surrey Police Consultation Data

I DO NOT WANT US TO!!!! I want to stick with the RCMP. This is not the will of the entire population of Surrey but something Mayor McCallum is pushing through on his own agenda! He is being devious about the costing and the effectiveness of this move

I don’t believe Surrey needs it own police department. The RCMP does a great job. Surrey having it’s own policing unit will just cost more money to the residents than help them. This needs to stop I don’t necessarily believe changing Police force is going to be helpful. There are too many variables. These questions also are dependent on services of the Health Authority and MCFD not the Police to provide services. Also geographically vast.

I don’t think the city should do this. The Surrey RCMP do a great job. This change would be a ridiculous waste of tax payers dollars.

I don’t think we need our own police force, we need MORE police officers. I heard today it’s going to cost $19M and we are going to have FEWER officers, how does this solve our needs.it makes no sense, use the funds to get more officers in Surrey! I don’t think we need to change from the RCMP. I think this choice should be put to a referendum to hear from the citizens of Surrey we do NOT need to put a huge amount of money out when what we have is working

I don’t want Surey to establish a new police force. I don’t. I think loosing the RCMP is a mistake.

I don't believe that we should be changing to a Surrey Police Department...the RCMP is doing a good job, just needs more funding, therefore more officers. I don't believe that we should move to a city police model. I don't believe we need a Surrey led police force. I am very happy with having the RCMP. Surrey should spend the money to hire more RCMP officers and forget about their own police force! I am very strongly opposed to changing our policing system.
