City-Wide Special Events The City-Wide Special Events volunteers are proud to represent the City of Surrey by supporting our annual events such as:

English Conversation Program Are you Fluent in English with previous experience in teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) or simply interested in helping newcomers, immigrants and refugees practice their English-speaking skills? We’re looking for volunteers with strong communication and leadership skills to facilitate our English Conversation Program.The commitment is approximately 1.5 hours/ week for six sessions per season! Are you thinking about developing your skills, knowledge and experience while supporting staff and being a role model for the children in your community?Take part in your choice of sport, art, dance, drama, science, and themed camps! Aquatics Programs Do you dream of becoming a lifeguard or simply love to swim? Join our Aquatics volunteer program and assist with public swims and Learn to Swim classes. FUSION FESTIVAL Volunteers will experience diverse cultural food, arts & crafts, and entertainment at the Surrey Fusion Festival!

PARTY FORTHE PLANET This event showcases environmental initiatives, commitments and promotes environmental stewardship.

SPIRIT Volunteer Program

SPIRIT volunteers support members of our community with disabilities to participate in Surrey Parks, Recreation & Culture programs and activities to improve their overall health and wellness.

TREE LIGHTING FESTIVAL Join us at theTree Lighting Festival where you will see us light up Surrey’s 60-foot Christmas tree!

WE LOOK FORWARD TO YOUR RETURN! We are committed to the health and safety of volunteers, as well as the whole community. We are working on engaging volunteers gradually and safely. Together, we will build a stronger community.

CANADA DAY Volunteer on July 1 at the Bill Reid Millennium Amphitheatre for a day full of entertainment and family-friendly activities!
