Activity Backpacks
Dress for adventure and experience the beauty of a West coast winter along the trails of GreenTimbers Park. Drop in to the centre to find out about the programs and events we offer and to pick up a trail guide.
Multiple ages from 2 years to adult With new activities and age-specific themes to choose from, these backpacks are bursting with nature activities to enjoy. Sign out your backpack before venturing outside to explore the Surrey Nature Centre.
Pick up an Activity Backpack, scavenger hunt, or fishing rod from Reception to take with you outside, or stay inside and check out our nature exhibition space. Don't forget to bring your toboggan if it snows.

DOG OFF-LEASH AREAS Leashing your dog is one of the easiest things you can do to help take care of our parks and keep them welcoming spaces for other visitors and wildlife. Want to let Fido run free? Bring them to one of these designated off-leash areas in a park near you!

CHECK OUT OUR NEW PARKS We are continually working to ensure our parks and trails are well-designed and maintained to meet the needs of our growing community. This includes the creation of new parks, as well as the improvement of existing parks. Check out one of these recently opened parks this winter: EDGEWOOD PARK 2284 165 Street COLEBROOK PARK
ORCHARD GROVE PARK 16685 24 Avenue This park is located in the fast-growing Grandview Heights neighbourhood and has a playground, paved pathways, two orchards and natural areas with mature trees.
14311 Colebrook Road At over 175 hectares, Colebrook Park is a huge natural area park on the slope overlooking Mud Bay. Here you'll find loads of wildlife, birds, trees and streams.
This new neighborhood park features a brand new playground, a wide open grassy area, and paths throughout.
