DROP-IN Events Mindful Morning Sunday, January 25 10am–12pm Start the new year with self reflection and intention setting. Take part in a sound bath, yoga and art workshops. The event will feature a curator led exclusive tour of the Feature Gallery. Lunar NewYear Saturday, February 8 Join the Chinese Village Club and Museum of Surrey to celebrate the Lunar NewYear with performances, calligraphy lessons, crafts and more. 1pm–4pm

Scavenger Hunts: International Women’s Day Tuesday, March 4 to Sunday, March 9 Operating Hours Explore the Museum in honour of International women’s day! A special scavenger hunt is available all week with special prizes at the front desk. Celtic Fest Saturday, March 22 1pm–4pm Get your Celtic on! Be entertained by Celtic music and dancing, explore community booths, and learn about BC’s Celtic community.

Museum of Surrey All ages Visit your museum in a sensory friendly environment. There will be reduced noise in the galleries, sensory kits for loan and a sensory friendly quiet room.

Enjoy a day at the Museum learning about our parks and forests. Learn about the natural habitats, the animals that live there and our role in keeping these ecosystems safe.

Enjoy a day of family fun at Museum of Surrey. Play board games, join a scavenger hunt, and take a photo with our mascot Raj the Raccoon.

Sketching Series First Thursday of the month February to December

See where your creativity takes you – sketch the feature and Surrey Stories galleries. This is a self led activity with easels available to borrow and mini sketchbooks available to take home.

Exhibits FEATURE GAL LERY Meditate Now until March 9 Meditate is an immersive, all-ages exhibition that invites visitors to explore diverse meditation techniques practiced around the world. This interactive exhibit encourages guests to use all their senses to experience different styles of meditation, including visualization, movement, scent, and sound. Meditate aims to connect people of different beliefs through the shared practices of meditation and mindfulness. Visitors will learn about various tools used in meditation and discover local practices available in Surrey.

I ND I GENOUS HAL L GAL LERY Youth on Reconciliation January 28 – May 25 This Legacy of Hope exhibit showcases artwork and poems by winners of the first “Imagine Canada” competition. The competition asked young people to share their thoughts on what the future of Canada can look like through the lens of hope, respect, and reconciliation. View the artwork and contribute your messages of hope for the future of Canada.
