Heritage Volunteer Program

Step back in time and volunteer as an Education Assistant at Historic Stewart Farm in South Surrey. As a person who loves children, you will help to engage elementary aged kids during their visit to the farm to learn about various themes and subjects. No experience? No problem. After training with staff and volunteer mentors, you’ll follow a ready-made program which includes a tour of the site and hands on activities. Our 90-minute school programs run throughout the school year so you get the summer off too! Aquatics The City of Surrey Aquatics Programs offer valuable opportunities for people to learn and enjoy swimming. Our goal is to provide a safe and fun environment for community members to become comfortable in the water and develop confidence to meet individual goals. We welcome citizens to engage with their communities through volunteering.

Summer Day Camp Volunteer Program

City-Wide Special Events The City-Wide Special Events volunteer program is ready for a new year of diverse celebrations! Some events to look forward to will be Party for the Planet, SPARK, Canada Day, Fusion Festival & theTree Lighting Festival. If you’re interested in supporting our annual events in various ways, apply! Applications open in January.

Are you thinking about developing your skills, knowledge and experience while supporting staff and being a role model for the children in your community? Take part in your choice of sport, art, dance, drama, science, and themed camps! Applications open in January.

English Conversation Program Are you Fluent in English with previous experience in teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) or simply interested in helping newcomers, immigrants, refugees practice their English-speaking skills? We’re looking for volunteers with strong communication and leadership skills to facilitate our in-person and online English Conversation Programs. Commitment of 1.5 hours per week for 6 sessions each season!

ESS On-Call Volunteer Responder Join Emergency Support Services (ESS), a dedicated rapid response team, that provides support to your neighbours immediately following a disaster or an emergency.
