SURREY NATURE CENTRE AT GREEN TIMBERS

Nestled within GreenTimbers Park, the Surrey Nature Centre is a place for kids and adults to explore nature. There are lots of fun things to do here. Borrow an activity backpack from Reception and take it along as you adventure through the winter forest. If you would like to try your luck at fishing, pack some hot cocoa and borrow a fishing rod from us for free.

DOG OFF-LEASH AREAS Leashing your dog is one of the easiest things you can do to help take care of our parks and keep them welcoming spaces for other visitors and wildlife. Surrey has many off-leash areas for you and your pooch to enjoy! All off-leash areas are fully fenced except for Freedom, Tannery and Dogwood Park.

TEACHERS!  3rd Annual

School Park Cleanups Care for a local park this season with the help of Surrey Parks! We provide the tools and an instructional video. At the end of the school year, participating K to 7 classes will be entered to win prizes. Together we can make a difference and build a greener, healthier and safer community.

Stewardship Stories Contest You could win! K to 7 teachers—in less than 100 words and a few photos, tell us how your class is connecting with our urban forest. By sharing your story, we can celebrate your efforts, showcase your good work and inspire others. Contest period: September 5, 2023 to March 15, 2024 Remember to stay on trails and review our Know Before You Go tips before heading out. For more information or to request a class set of printed resources, Email stewardship@surrey.ca .

Email partnersinparks@surrey.ca to register your class.
