Volunteer WITH SUMMER DAY CAMPS! Not only will you make a positive impact while connecting with children in our community, you’ll work closely with City of Surrey staff to develop your skills, knowledge and experience. Choose dates, times and locations that work for you and pick your favourite type of camp to volunteer at! Options include sports, arts, drama, dance or science camps. Day Camp volunteers must be 14 years or older, attend a mandatory training session and make a minimum one-week commitment. Apply to be a volunteer before April 15, 2024. Need more info?

Medical Information Forms We encourage parents to securely store important health and contact information online in your recreation account for each child registered. Doing this once, saves time and effort for parents, particularly if registered in multiple camps. Log in using Important INFORMATION FOR PARENTS

Pick-Up Times Please ensure that you are aware of pick-up times. In case of late pick-up, please inform your town centre. Indicate on the Medical Disclosure and Consent form if your child (6 years and older) has permission to leave camp unaccompanied. Persons listed on your authorized pick-up list may be asked to provide identification at pick-up.

Tips for What to Bring to Camp

Healthy “nut-free” lunch and snacks Hat Sunscreen Appropriate footwear (no flip-flops) Change of clothes Swimsuit and towel (if applicable) Water bottle

uses prescribed and/or non-prescribed medication including an inhaler or Epi-Pen (must include a note from doctor for non-prescribed medication).

Financial Support & Information Financial Assistance is available through Child Care Subsidies for licensed programs: www.gov.bc.ca/childcare. Our extended and licensed preschool programs may be eligible for additional subsidy. Contact your local recreation centre for more details.

Adapted Camps ONE TO ONE SUPPORT IN SUMMER DAY CAMPS If a participant with a disability requires support to be safe and successful in camp, please register in our “One to One support for camps – children” to apply. Support spots are available the week of July 8 through the week of August 23. Choose up to two weeks of support. Support is not guaranteed and is on a first come first served basis. Please do not register for the camp as our team will contact you with further steps. Chosen camp(s) will determine the cost of registration. Registration for support in camps opens Sunday, May 12 at 9pm. Requests will not be accepted prior to this date. Email inclusion@surrey.ca with any questions.
