ECONOMIC PROSPERITY & LIVELIHOODS

• Grow Surrey’s investment attraction efforts leveraging the City’s 2024 CanExport Community Initiatives Grant in order to generate an increase in qualified and transformative investment leads for Surrey.

INFRASTRUCTURE

Commence construction of the Chuck Bailey Recreation Centre Expansion by September 2025 to offer new and enhanced recreational services and amenities for the community; and

Initiate construction of the new Newton Community Centre in 2025 and further enhance the town centre by preparing a new Master Plan to establish future development opportunities and transit enhancements.

BUILT ENVIRONMENT & NEIGHBOURHOODS

• Work directly with TransLink to deliver improved transit services to Surrey, including Surrey Langley Skytrain bus integration; design and business case for BRT on King George Blvd to South Surrey; and a broader Surrey Transit Vision; and • Complete the Cloverdale Town Centre update and Master Plan for the Cloverdale Fairgrounds to support the new hospital and revitalize Cloverdale with retail, sport, and entertainment opportunities.
