EDUCATION & CULTURE

• Launched a refreshed New Employee Orientation program to provide new employees with information on key City topics that will give them the necessary foundation to be successful as a City employee; • Delivered a new Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving eLearning in SurreyLearns to provide staff with the skills to evaluate, identify and distinguish between relevant and irrelevant information; • • Obtained the WorkSafe Certificate of Recognition that recognizes and rewards safe work practices; • Launched a City-wide mental health program for all staff to reduce stigmas and encourage open dialogue about mental health; and • Reconstruction of the Strawberry Hill Community Hall was completed in 2024, which will be the home of a new childcare facility. This project rehabilitated one of the oldest community halls built in Surrey and will serve the community for many years to come; and BUILT ENVIRONMENT & NEIGHBOURHOODS • HEALTH & WELLNESS

Launched a new eLearning about the Attendance Support Program (“ASP”) for managers. The eLearning provides an overview of the ASP and the measures in place to assist employees in maintaining regular attendance; and • Implemented internal Lunch & Learns to support staff in their internal applications for City job opportunities.

• Delivered 21 mental health webinars for staff to support their well-being. Webinars include topics like stress and resilient responses, healthy workplace habits, understanding burnout, and more.

Acquired the last two outstanding private properties in South Newton to complete Woodward Hill Park;
