• Facilitated the mandated change to WorkSafeBC payroll reporting requirements. Initiated and implemented a more efficient method for paying approved WorkSafeBC claims to staff; • Collaborate with other City Departments to successfully transition Police Support Services staff to the Surrey Police Service;
Automated the manual and time consuming process for the digital intake and sorting of accounts payable invoices, saving significant working hours, leading to enhanced efficiency

and repositioning of resources towards value-added tasks; and
• Continued to develop the Financial Management System by upgrading processes, adding increased functionality, and continuing with efficiency-enhancing initiatives.
CORPORATE SUSTAINABILITY
• Received a special Triple Crown medallion, for receiving all three GFOA awards: • The Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for the 2024 2028 Financial Plan; • The Canadian Award for Financial Reporting for the 2023 Annual Financial Report; • The Popular Annual Financial Reporting Award for the 2023 Annual Financial Report Highlights; • Monitored cashflow and liquidity levels to appropriately manage the timing of investment purchases in response to multiple successive Bank of Canada interest rate decreases; and • Ensured that all financial transactions and reporting met appropriate statutory requirements.
