ECOSYSTEMS

• The Surrey Animal Resource Centre (“SARC”) took in 1,489 animals in 2024. SARC reunited 333 animals with their owners and assisted in finding new homes for 491 animals.

BUILT ENVIRONMENT & NEIGHBOURHOODS

Strengthened building code enforcement with the Illegal Construction Enforcement Team, utilizing Section 57 of the Community Charter and legal action against property violations; and •

Increased Bylaw presence at Crescent Beach during summer months to ensure compliance with related bylaws and liaised with Parks, Engineering, Fire & Police to mitigate disruptions to the neighbourhood and visitors.
