• Surrey Fire Regional Dispatch led the province in the transition to Next Generation 9-1-1, becoming the first service in British Columbia to go live with the upgraded call-handling system in 2025; • Advanced operational resilience by transitioning the dedicated dispatch training space at Fire Hall 10 as the department’s dispatch backup centre. This strategic repurposing of existing infrastructure strengthens service continuity while maximizing the use of municipal assets; • Coordinated 43 Level 1 Emergency Support Service (“ESS”) responses for 204 displaced residents at single family dwellings; • Operated a well-managed in-house Dispatch Services centre that strategically enhances organizational oversight, ensuring improved quality
• 464 smoke alarms installed at single family residences during HomeSafe inspections, including 15,002 smoke alarm verification tests; and • The Surrey Fire Service Central Training Facility supported planned annual staff training and sustained external client engagement through facility rentals.
