2025 Recruiting targets were met following the development of hiring plans for each category of employee:

Experienced officers hired: 122 Recruit Constables hired: 50 Civilian employees hired: 81

The building of a civilian onboarding program was initiated in 2025, with the training modules to be designed/developed in 2026. A Critical Incident Manager course was launched, and the supervisory (“NCO”) training was expanded to include online and exam modules, and foundational and operational skills. The Enhanced Investigator Skills Program (“EISP”) 100 introduces members to Major Case Management (“MCM”) principles, along with core investigative strategies. EISP 100 is embedded within the Frontline Advanced SkillsTraining (“FAST”) Program, which all SPS recruits complete within their first three years of service, providing foundational training across traffic, tactical, and investigative disciplines.
