INCLUSION

Continue to implement Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility initiatives and training; Evaluate the Newcomer Welcome Centre services to guide future programs and services; and

Deliver programs to support international students in partnership with the City to fulfil the Focus Newton Action Plan.

PUBLIC SAFETY

• Maintain service to Surrey’s vulnerable and newcomer populations with targeted outreach, in-library programs and promoting Access Cards; • Upgrade security cameras in public areas at select branches to improve virtual patrol;

• Explore partnership and funding opportunities in support of mental health, addiction, and homelessness programs to better meet community needs; and • Add two new items to our Tech to Go collection.
