MESSAGE FROM Mayor Brenda Locke As we welcome the start of a new year and the beauty of winter in Surrey, I’m excited to share our Winter Recreation Guide with you. Our city is growing, and we’re investing in recreation spaces and programs that bring people together, support healthy living, and celebrate Surrey’s incredible diversity. From new and upgraded community centres and arenas to parks, walking trails, and gathering spaces, these facilities are where memories are made – where kids learn new skills, seniors stay active, and families connect. This season offers something for everyone, from swimming and skating lessons to art, fitness, and cultural programs. My council’s commitment is to ensure every resident – of every age, background, and ability – has access to the programs and facilities that make life in Surrey vibrant and fulfilling. Explore the guide to discover ways to get involved, try something new, and connect with your community. Together, let’s embrace a winter full of wellness, connection, and joy – and look forward to the exciting programs and spaces ahead in our growing city.
