OBJECTIVE
1.4 Protect tenants and households experiencing inequities.
POLICY ACTIONS
1.4.1 Ensure conversion of purpose-built rental apartment buildings or co-operative housing into stratified condominiums is only permitted when city-wide vacancy rates are above 4 percent in alignment with City policies. 1.4.2 Require that tenants must be informed, assisted and compensated in order for redevelopment of purpose-built rental sites to be permitted.

Regularly review and update the City’s bylaws and policies in relation to rental housing redevelopment, manufactured home park redevelopment and tenant protection.
1.4.5 Update the City's Rental Premises Standards of Maintenance Bylaw .
1.4.3 Ensure redevelopment of existing
manufactured home sites is only permitted when residents are informed, assisted and compensated.
