I’m a resident of Surrey for the past 55 years and a proud parent of two athletic children who used the playing fields in Surrey just as I did. I started as a Volunteer firefighter in 1980 and retired as the City’s Chief Fire Prevention Officer

in 2014. During this time I volunteered with various community organizations, (including founding director of the Surrey Fire Fighter’s Charitable Society) which lead to being awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee medal in 2013 for my community service. Elected as a Surrey First Councillor in 2014, I was appointed as Chairs of our Environmental Sustainability Advisory Committee, Agricultural Food Security Advisory Committee, Diversity Advisory Committee, Vice-Chair Seniors Advisory Committee and liaison to Tourism Surrey. Watching our City grow from a bedroom community to a vibrant City has been exciting. I look forward to continuing this vision of a safe, vibrant and inclusive City.

I have been a Surrey Councillor for 20 years. This year I am running for Integrity Now. I am past president of UBCM and a member of FCM B.C. caucus. I currently sit on Metro Vancouver where I chair Aboriginal affairs. Also I work intensively on seniors issues. I have lived in Surrey for 38

years, and will bring transparency, openness and integrity to Surrey.
