Dave served in the RCMP for 43 years and has resided in Surrey since 1986. The last 15 years of his career were at Surrey Detachment, eight of which as the District Commander in the Cloverdale/Port Kells District. Dave has a history of working with community groups including the Board of Directors of Options Community Services Society

and Servants Anonymous. Currently he is a member of the Cloverdale Legion, Rotary Club and Chamber of Commerce. For his community involvement, Dave received the Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Medal in 2002 and in 2012 was awarded Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Commemorative Medal. In 2014, he was elected to City Council and serves on Metro Vancouver Board of Directors and Metro Utilities Committee. Currently he sits on several City committees: Public Safety, Audit, Heritage, Finance, Culture and Infrastructure. He is also a Library and Rodeo Board Director.

Yanni is a CPA-CGA and is a small business owner. Coming to Canada from China with literally 500 dollars, she has gone through steps of most new immigrants gone. She bring to table abundant experience in utilizing limited resources in most effective and efficient ways. Yanni believes using

technology will reduce redundancy and bureaucracy in city hall and save taxpayer dollars. Yanni lives in Guildford area with her family and performs stage dramas for Chinese elders for FVNA community. Yanni is running with PEOPLE FIRST SURREY. PEOPLE FIRST SURREY is a fiscally responsible team with a clear 16 point platform. PEOPLE FIRST has a practical plan to cancel LRT and bring SkyTrain. With recent announcements by Premier and Prime Minister, the only way to bring skytrain is PEOPLE FIRST’s strategy on putting Skytrain Vs LRT to vote of Surrey public and using that to convince provincial and federal governments.
