• Ministry of Social Development and Economic Security Request for Continued Assistance Form SDES8 • Secure Certificate of Indian Status (Status Card) • Birth Certificate • BC Services Card or BC CareCard or BC Gold CareCard • Debit or Credit Card issued by a savings institution • Property Tax Notice issued by the City of Surrey • Utility Bill (for electricity, natural gas, telephone or cable service) In the 2018 Municipal Election, eligible voters will cast their ballot to elect: • One (1) Mayor • Eight (8) Councillors • Six (6) Board of Education Trustees (also referred to as School Trustees) for School District No. 36 (Surrey) To learn more about the candidates, visit page 12 in this voter guide. Can I get help with voting? If you require translation assistance to read or mark a ballot, we encourage you to bring someone with you. Persons assisting a voter to mark a ballot will be required to sign a declaration affirming that they will: • Make the translation to the best of their ability; • Mark the ballot in accordance with the wishes of the elector; • Preserve the secrecy of the ballot of the elector being assisted; and • Refrain from attempting in any manner to influence the elector as to how the elector should vote. In addition, many of our voting locations have multi-lingual Election Officials to help as required. Who am I voting for?
