Dear Friends, after finishing my masters in Education I worked as a school teacher and principal almost for two decades. Our schools are the real foundation of our society. If we don’t get them right there will be a lot of problems everywhere. I strongly believe that a School Trustee must

be responsive and receptive to parents, staff and students. They must encourage an open and respectful dialogue with the community and their feedback should be valued and implemented in Education Policy. Every board trustee must be trustee of the community that elects him or her. Parents and students have a right to be heard not just to speak. Every trustee must do advocacy for the parents and students before the province in getting the right resources and help they needed.

A Surrey resident since 1985, Diana Ng is married and has raised their two children in their local community. Her daughters attended Public Schools. With a Nursing Degree

from UBC, Diana worked as a Public Health Nurse advocating for thousands of children, youth and families in schools, clinics and homes. After earning her Master’s Degree from Victoria’s RRU, she taught Nursing and Business at SFU, Capilano & UVic. Her family history of railway workers motivated her work in social justice. During her 6-year service as a Board Member of DIVERSEcity Community Resources Society, she co-authored the harassment & discrimination policy. In 2008, she built the first Public Labyrinth of Surrey, and wrote and published the book titled Walking the Labyrinth… . Diana now works as a leadership and diversity consultant and speaks at conferences on stress management. Diana Ng wants to build schools we all can be proud of.
