Voter Information
• not registered as a non-resident property elector in relation to any other parcel of real property in the City of Surrey; • if there is more than one individual who is the registered owner, only one individual may register and vote in relation to the real property and the person doing so must have received the written consent (signed Consent Form 2-8) of the majority of individuals registered as owners of the real property; and • not disqualified from voting by any enactment or by law. Non-resident voters can register during Advance Voting Opportunities (October 6, 10, 11 and 13, 2018) or on Election Day (Saturday, October 20, 2018). Registration will take place when you vote. Complete the application (Form 2-7, available at surrey.ca/election) ahead of time for ease of voting. Note: In accordance with the Local Government Act , the only persons who are registered owners, either as joint tenants or tenants-in-common, are individuals who are not holding the property in trust for a corporation or another trust. A person may only register as a Non-Resident Property Elector in relation to one parcel of property in the City of Surrey and must provide proof of ownership of the property on which registration is based along with the signed Consent Form 2-8 where applicable.
