MESSAGE FROM Mayor Brenda Locke Surrey is building strong, healthy communities where people of all ages can be active participants and engaged for life. As our city grows, Council will ensure our parks and recreational amenities keep pace. A third ice sheet is being added to the Cloverdale Sport and Ice Complex and work is underway on a new recreation centre in Newton and new Athletics Centre in Bear Creek Park. Getting active and connecting with others contribute to a healthy lifestyle and an enhanced quality of life. From a child’s first skating lesson, joining a coed volleyball league or taking to the court for a game of pickleball, there is something for everyone. In this guide you will find programs, lessons and activities for all ages and skill levels. We take great pride in ensuring all of our citizens are fully engaged no matter the age, ability or means. Whether you are a longtime resident of Surrey or a newcomer to our city, I invite you to make the most of Surrey’s excellent recreational programming.

Active and Engaged

Enjoy an enhanced quality of life through recreation. Surrey provides a range of indoor and outdoor recreational opportunities where people of all ages and abilities can enjoy a healthy lifestyle. Whether you want to join a class, socialize with others, or learn something new, we have a wide range of programs to keep you engaged for life.

HEALTHY COMMUNITIES, ACTIVE TOGETHER!

Join your favourite activity or spark a new interest! We offer a variety of popular programs that will keep you and your family active, engaged and connected. Choose from sports, fitness, wellness programs to art, music, and general interest courses. Our certified instructors will ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. As always, safety is our top priority for patrons, volunteers and staff. Our commitment to thorough cleaning measures will continue and we ask patrons to adhere to our code of conduct, gym etiquette and health protocols. Thanks for your participation in making our facilities a welcoming space for everyone to enjoy! TWO WAYS TO SEARCH Based on customer feedback, we’ve added an additional way to search for activities online. Whether you want to search broadly or take a more focused approach, you will continue to register the way you do now for our same high-quality programs. Use Chrome for the best experience when searching using either method. Broad Search: Not sure what you’re looking for? Best for customers who wish to see all available activities first and then make selections. Can filter by keyword, course code or date range. Focused Search: Answer a few quick questions and display results based on selections. Best for customers who know exactly what they’re looking for or those who want to be guided to a program. Search frequently for the same activities? Save time by creating personalized searches for each family member. Focused searches will load faster with less criteria chosen. If selecting a large number of activities, choose the broad search for faster results. NEED HELP? Look for Registration Help online to find answers to frequently asked questions, a written step by step guide, and tutorial video. Call: 604-501-5100
