Expo 86 was one of the largest public events in British Columbia history. The art history of this mega-event has yet not been examined. Coinciding with the 40th anniversary of Vancouver’s world’s fair, the exhibition In the Shadow of the Pavilions, examines official Expo art in relation to art presented during Vancouver’s ‘Expo moment’.
