Surrey Police Consultation Data

Important to provide sufficient budget for increasing officer to citizen ratio . Currently Surrey is short by 300 officers!

Improve laws on the strictness of gun violence and check on traffic, stop giving unnessary tickets to the people driving the cars, try to listen to the people driving, especially new drivers

Improve police response time. Reduce gangs and gang activity

Improve safety for kids and seniors with a new forc.

Improvementofcommuniction with residents to respond to situations

Increased cost per household Increasing the number of officers

Increasing the number of police officers and providing proper support to police! Equipment that works, support that actually care about them, and leadership that does best for the police and the community.

Independent from mayor Integrity as a City. To have the guts to apologize to the RCMP when future results in some situations are no different to current results. Into corruption. Deal with everyone the same no matter their position even if they are a minister or a farm worker.

Irresponsible use of taxpayer dollars for a system that is surprisingly effective given the lack of Surrey council support I e no new members in last budget how serious is council about addressing crime?

Is the additional cost worth it, or do we just work closely with RCMP who are as caring as any for the community they work/live in? Why do you think they care less than a city ‘force’. I disagree that police will be better than RCMP. Is there some middle ground whereby the city could find a way to have the existing RCMP be more accountable and directed by the City rather than throw everything away and create something entirely new?

Is this an affordable option for the city? Will this provide more foot officers? What can a Surrey police for BN offer that the RCMP cannot?
