That instead of having a surrey police department. We utilize the RCMP we have and add more members. It’s not an rcmp issue. It’s a numbers issue. More members

That many people did not vote for a new police service and want the RCMP to stay! Including me.

That the cost is not beyond 10 % - if it is then work with current RCMP and retain them

That the Police force is adequately staffed to meet the needs of this always growing population. That the RCMP with an additional ~300 members is all we need to provide the community with all the policing services we need. That there isn't corruption with local politicians , because that is one of the cons of local police stations or the management/ chiefs ,, been issue with all the local city forces if i not mistaken . RCMP are doing a great job . BS mandate That this issue should go to a referendum as not everyone in Surrey wants an independent police force. that this will be an under-funded, understaffed waste of tax payer money. Focus on people ripping down all the affordable, smaller bungalow homes to put up too-high, too large monster homes, turning surrey into an over populated crime hub That we have more officers, same ratio to residents as, say Vancouver, has. We need to keep costs at the same level as present, with NO increase in our taxes. That we increase police visibility and have our police officers build roots in the city. Be more connected with the communities. Visit the parks to build closer relationships with the youth and police. That we keep the current RCMP detachment(s) in place and quit wasting funds that have already exceeded the current budget for our current police presence for fewer local police officers. If the RCMP presence is already low what nut would replace them That we should NOT have to pay more taxes in order to appease McCallum's ego. Gas, groceries and everything else is costing people enough to just get by and now he wants to add another cost to their already stretched dollar. That we still keep working relationships with neighbouring police forces & help with regional taskforce. That we tackle gangs,more education to parents and kids about gangs That we have a good police force now in The Rcmp and we do not need to have a city police force.
