Surrey Police Consultation Data

We need at a min 250 or more uniformed officers on the street !!!! Not only more civilian staff (but they will be needed if the 250 are brought on board) 1 or 2 in each car? Also the Police board must be elected and not appointed by the mayor. We need more boots on the ground. More officers, to help solve crimes. We need more Police officers NOW!!! We can’t wait for the change over. When there is a major crime event, so many officers are on sight. Other people needing police have to wait cause there’s not enough. We need more RCMP officers, not to spend the money on a new force. We need more RCMP. If we have enough RCMP staff we would be much better off. MaCalum said we were consulted during the election period. That is not correct. We only wanted Skytrain and I did not vote for him or his group. He needs to consult all. We need more uniformed officers to be visible in the neighbourhood. Regardless if they are full time officers, crime prevention officers, traffic officers, we need to prevent and deter crime instead of solving them later .

We need the money first, to build a whole new police team. I do believe we should just hire the more RCMP, as promised by previous mayors.

We need the RCMP out and a better policing model. Surrey RCMPs current model doesn't work. They've had numerous years to fix their model. Going back and fourth from Ottawa is clearly not working. We need our own police board locally. We need to be asked if we want a force and how much it will cost We need to cancelbullshit public services that we have in place right now and focus our efforts to solve the gang violence and horrible education system. We need to start producing quality people to lead the coming generations to a prosperous future. We need to focus on Problem Oriented Policing. ProActive policing. POLICE ON FOOT PATROL WALKING THE BEAT. I feel safer on the DTES than in parts of Surrey. I would NEVER recommend that anyone walk at night in certain parts of the city.

We need to get rid of the stigma surrey has about how shitty and full of crime it is. I love surrey !
