Surrey Police Consultation Data

I disagree with changing our excellent RCMP police force with a local police. It will be very expensive and it will take years to get to a level of effectiveness that justifies the change.

I disagree with establishing a new Surrey Police Department. Keep the RCMP and hire more officers. I feel that the agenda the Mayor is pushing is going to cost me as a taxpayer a fortune. Let us as taxpayers vote on what we want. I disagree with having a Surrey Police Department. Crime doesn’t care who the police are. The laws and number of police need to change. Put the money towards more manpower not changing the structure.

I disagree with having a Surrey Police force. Keep the RCMP and get more boots on the ground here!!

I disagree with Surrey spending g The money and energy to have its own police service. We should be using the money for hoelessn as and mental health issues ssues I disagree with the establishment of a Surrey police force without a public referendum being held. The cost to change the RCMP is going to be exhorbitant. Increase the present force to Vancouver numbers. I disagree with the formation of a "Surrey Police Force". The RCMP is doing a good job and the actions of the current city council and mayor are undermining those efforts. Thing will not improve with a Surrey Police Force. Costs will only increase.

I do not

I do not agree with replacing the current RCMP. I would encourage a GVRD police force that would integrate the lower mainland and reduce costs and likely have more police officers on the ground.

I do not agree with the proposed surrey police force. Keep RCMP I do not agree with this move, it is going to cost us way to much money, I feel we should keep the RCMP and expand the services they now do. I feel a police force in Surrey with less man power will not be effective. I do Not believe that changing the uniform will change the policing in our city and if we had more RCMP available then many of the concerns we have could be solved. I believe the RCMP is doing a fine job. I DO NOT believe there is justification for starting a new police force and have not seen such justification coming from Surrey elected officials. I am very angry this has proceeded without first getting public input/feedback.
