Employee and Family Assistance Program The City offers the Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP), which provides a wide range of confidential and comprehensive support services to all City employees. Psychological Services The City offers a benefit that allocates $4,000 annually per member and family for counselling and psychological treatment.
Substance Abuse Treatment The City and the International Association of Firefighters Local 1271 (Union) collaborate to finance residential substance abuse treatment programs for any employee seeking treatment. Employee Support Team In cases where employees require more extensive or complicated treatment, representatives from management and the Union collaborate with mental health professionals to assess and determine the appropriate course of action. This process is conducted on a case-by-case basis, prioritizing the well-being and health of the employee.
