ECONOMIC PROSPERITY & LIVELIHOODS

• Continue to expand fibre optic infrastructure, and lease/exchange excess capacity in order to be a catalyst for enabling high quality, affordable, high-speed broadband services; • Create a unique employer brand strategy to best position the City as an Employer of Choice; and

• Secured $500,000 from FortisBC and $357,000 from LGCAP for future energy saving projects within our civic facilities. Projects being planned include optimizing the energy efficiency of Surrey Sport & Leisure

Complex, future lighting retrofit projects; and efficiency studies on select sites to reduce energy consumption and enhance their operations.

EDUCATION & CULTURE

• Launch a new Intranet to enhance the City’s internal communication efforts and better engage staff in fostering an award-winning workplace culture.

• Expand accessibility to workplace training across all City facilities; and
