• Future planned park improvements in 2025 include 1001 Steps replacement stair system, Softball City field light upgrade to LED, Beecher Place washroom renovation, Salmonberry Park bike park construction, South Surrey Athletic Park skate park enhancement, Tamanawis Park third turf field construction and numerous linear park connections throughout the City’s neighbourhood park system; • Re-envision Unwin Community Park which started with extensive community/stakeholder engagement in 2024 that will lead to a conceptual design process and a Council endorsed masterplan to envision the future of the park;

• Initiate the construction of Surrey’s first covered multi-sport outdoor covered sport box in South Surrey primarily hosting lacrosse; ball diamond upgrades at Sunnyside Park, and two new turf fields at Cloverdale Athletic Park; and • Complete the Bear Creek Athletics Centre project, including the commissioning of the covered grandstand and lifecycle replacement

of the running track to enhance community sport amenities at this destination park.
