WATER
ECONOMIC PROSPERITY & LIVELIHOODS
• Established Capital Reserve Fund, set at three years of capital program value, to balance long-term needs of asset replacement, rate stabilization and emergency management; and
• Introduced a rebate initiative under the Voluntary Water Meter program to support better equity and greater financial benefits for the residents. Administered more than 200 voluntary
meter credits under this initiative, compared to the 500 target for the year.
EDUCATION & CULTURE
Continued to provide educational materials on lawn watering regulations as well as the various water conservation tools on the City website, social media platforms, recreation centers, libraries, Pattison digital boards, and different City events;
• Increased bylaw enforcement during the implementation of lawn watering regulation; and • Continued promotion of Voluntary Water Meter program.

BUILT ENVIRONMENT & NEIGHBOURHOODS
• Optimized servicing strategy for Darts Hill and Redwood Heights Neighbourhood Concept Plan to lower servicing costs and support housing affordability; and
• Updated the water hydraulic model under the existing infrastructure and water demand conditions to support various utility planning exercises.
FUTURE INITIATIVES, GOALS & OBJECTIVES
HEALTH & WELLNESS
• Continue to investigate the feasibility to monitor chlorine city-wide in strategic locations to provide proactive tools in managing water quality in the City; and
• Continue to improve compliance rate of the annual testing of backflow preventers.
