Inclusionary Zoning means zoning that requires the inclusion of a percentage of affordable housing units within new multiple residential development.
Integrated Watershed Management Plans (IWMP)
means a servicing strategy for managing rainfall and stormwater runoff resulting from development in a watershed in a way that maintains or enhances the health of the watershed.
means purpose-built rental housing or secondary rental housing, rented in the private market at market rents.

Major Transit Network
means the region’s primary rapid transit corridors identified by TransLink , with services that are high-capacity, high-frequency, fast, and reliable, travelling in dedicated rights-of-way all day, every day in both directions.

means the Metro Vancouver Regional District.
means the transportation of people and goods over short distances using lightweight, low-speed vehicles like bicycles, electric scooters, and electric skateboards. means a transportation system that integrates two or more modes of travel — such as walking, cycling, transit, and private vehicles — to provide flexible, efficient, and connected mobility options.

means three or more generations — such as grandparents, parents, and children — living together under one roof or on the same property.
means areas with significant wildlife habitat and connecting corridors such as ravines, treed areas, open fields and bodies of water.
Natural Areas
means the stock of natural resources or ecosystems that a municipality, regional district, or other form of local government could rely upon or manage for the sustainable provision of one or more local government services. means infrastructure that uses elements of the natural environment to replace or supplement traditional infrastructure, such as drainage, sewers and water that contributes towards sustainable resource management. means human-caused emissions of GHGs to the atmosphere are balanced by the withdrawal of GHGs from the atmosphere through deliberate human activities (e.g. treen planting). means a range of housing types with and without supports for low- or moderate-income households that are owned and/or operated by a public agency, non-profit society, or housing co-operative. This includes independent, shelter and transitional housing. means land uses - such as office or business parks, outlet shopping malls, post secondary institutions, and large-format entertainment venues - that generate higher levels of person-trips.
