Surrey Police Consultation Data

Quick response

Quit bad mouthing the RCMP! There are hundreds of men and women working hard with the best interests of the people of Surrey at heart! They deserve the respect of MAYOR as they continue to keep the streets safe in spite of his obvious hate for them!

Quit rcmp asap

Rapid population growth and ethnic diversity

RCMP are doing a good job and no need to transition. Consider impact to community in losing those officers and families. RCMP already know community. Add to their force not take away and rebuild RCMP DOESN'T DO ANYTHING RCMP has failed Surrey and it’s time to make a drastic change and employ officers with local knowledge and come from our community and not from Quebec or Ontario. The RCMP comes to Surrey with preconceived ideas and they call it working in Slurrey.

RCMP has failed to protect young in Surrey. Due to Crime dug Surrey is known as Drug & Crime capital of Canada. In my option Surrey Police is best.

RCMP has not kept our communities safe. The gang violence is out control. You do not see that in VPD/Delta/Port Moody. There is too much bad publicity - harassment, bullying, sexual misconduct within the RCMP. Time to leave our City!

RCMP is doing a great job. Please keep them.

RCMP officers are overdue for a wage increase. I am very worried about what an RCMP wage increase could mean for the City of Surrey. If RCMP officers get a retroactive wage increase, does it mean the City of Surrey will get a surprise bill later?

Really consider if it is the best use of our tax dollars to replace the RCMP. I think we need more officers regardless of force and worry about things getting worse if we transition.

Recruiting only the best and competitive. Start with well established budget plan to prevent budget issues for various services. Build public trust by being transparent. Preventive measures to avoid favoritism and curruption. Effective resources
