Active and Engaged
Enjoy an enhanced quality of life through recreation. Surrey provides a range of indoor and outdoor recreational opportunities where people of all ages and abilities can enjoy a healthy lifestyle. Whether you want to join a class, socialize with others, or learn something new, we have a wide range of programs to keep you engaged for life.
TWO WAYS TO SEARCH Based on customer feedback, we’ve added an additional way to search for activities online. Whether you want to search broadly or take a more focused approach, you will continue to register the way you do now for our same high-quality programs. Use Chrome for the best experience when searching using either method. Broad Search: Not sure what you’re looking for? Best for customers who wish to see all available activities first and then make selections. Can filter by keyword, course code or date range. Focused Search: Answer a few quick questions and display results based on selections. Best for customers who know exactly what they’re looking for or those who want to be guided to a program. Search frequently for the same activities? Save time by creating personalized searches for each family member. Focused searches will load faster with less criteria chosen. If selecting a large number of activities, choose the broad search for faster results. NEED HELP? Look for Registration Help online to find answers to frequently asked questions, a written step by step guide, and tutorial video. Call: 604-501-5100 A SAFE RETURN TO RECREATION Our most popular programs are back to keep you and your family active and connected. Fergus Watershed Biodiversity Preserve 1277 168 Street | South Surrey Opened in January, this park is an ecological sanctuary composed of a variety of healthy habitats for native plants and animals. Carefully designed access to the Biodiversity Preserve provides opportunities for you to get outdoors and connect with nature. WHY BIODIVERSITY MATTERS Biodiversity is the variety of life we find in our urban forest—animals, plants, fungi, and even microorganisms (like bacteria) that make up our natural world. Each of these species and organisms work together, like an intricate web, to maintain balance and support life. Biodiversity supports everything in nature that we need to survive: food, clean water, medicine, and shelter. Surrey has over 800 parks and 600 of them prioritize nature They protect natural areas, open space, and biodiversity preserves as part of the larger green infrastructure network.
